That's clear, the problem is... It's still a rover 25.

It's easy on paper worth 3 times that. It just won't get it. It's so sad :(

Even if it was a ZR, I'd say it's the same.

It's the age and desirability of the mg/rover brand.

I'd try and get £2k for it, as you said it would need to be broken to archive good money OR take some of the shiny trick bits off and sell it for around £1500.

I think you would get around £1500 - £2000 without too much problem.

Its a MK2 (better looking than the MK1  ), its a very nice colour, and nicely modified!

Nope, it's a rover 25.

Whilst done very well, they just don't fetch money. I've seen them go for stupid money in the last few months. I'm not comparing this to the examples but it does however effect the prices of well carried out conversions.

I reckon take some fancy parts off and put it to near as a stock conversion as possible and sell for about £1750 to hopefully see good money.

fully loaded 1000 1300, take "fancy" items off and return to standard and its now £1750

just me or is the nuts????

wait for the right buyer. finished article. imagine the cost of doing this yourself... ££££'s

pros and cons of selling in the "enthusiast" environment

more exposure to an extent but then also being subjected to the eternal chestnut quote "worth more in bits" " its just a rover"

get it on piston heads, gumtree, ebay , all the forums more the better.

If this car doesn't fetch bare min of £2k then shouldn't we all just give up and run about in completely standard cars?

Good luck what ever happens. This car is the real deal.

My VI "sold" for £2750 and that's a T reg 200 with similar spec.

Tbh, I haven't seen a zr/25/200 conversion fetch money for that for a while.

That is what I based my price on. Again I can't stress enough I'm not in anyway saying its not a good conversion

In a nut shell ghall2004

This should fetch good money. I know a member on here with a very nice MK1 ZR T16 (not forged!) which he paid close to £5,000 for it.

Seriously Pengy, there are people out there who will pay the price!

I bought my Mk2 Turbo for a grand, albeit, nowhere near the standard of this one and not the most amazing example when I got it.

If I was in the market for one id say this was worth no less than 2.5k but we all know they don't sell well, hold out for the right person though and it will sell.
