i can ask?

there doesnt seem to be much chatter on the thread on the 200/400 owners club

its not a specific day for them, i think there is many events that day at the heritage center

i can copy some info from the thread there, could be a case of simply making enquirers with the motor heritage center

As promised, here's the update from John Bishop

"I have discussed your request to have the memories of the Engineering & Manufacturing Team recorded, in principle our Curator is in favour.
The Museum has Oral History Volunteers trained in the process, the Curator will need to discuss this further. We will be in touch regarding how we will proceed after we have launched our 21st Birthday Celebrations and exhibition in May.

In the meantime your celebration will be the centrepiece display for our Autumn Classic, we will also provide a room for talks etc FOC.
Very happy for the Rover Coupe Owners Club to attend.

The cost to individuals attending in qualifying cars is £5 per person. Payment at the Pay Desk on the day, access to Grounds, Cafe & Meeting Room only is FREE.

Content in your own Display Area and room is your responsibility, the gathering supplies good numbers, so you should have a good audience.

At this stage we are happy for you to advertise your presence at our Autumn Classic as the Centrepiece Display, you can also mention that you are in discussions with us regarding recording memories of Owners and Rover Group employees.

http://www.rover200.org.uk/forums/viewt ... 93&start=0

Please let me have some high resolution images for us to use in press releases and on our Website.
Also the Title for your Display / Talk / Exhibition
Contact Name for our website
Contact details for our website"

So a few points from the above:-
We'll be " the centrepiece display for our Autumn Classic" !
- The having the "memories of the Engineering & Manufacturing Team recorded" is something that I'm personally very interested in and I still have lots of contacts from Rover and Honda
- It's £5 per person
- Has anybody got suitable high-def photos photos we can use? Preferably including a display - even better if it was one at Gaydon. Pls email them to me at
- I'm happy to be the Contact Name for their website, as long as I'm not stepping on any toes...
- I'll prepare a Press release for the (limited) Press contacts we have. I'll get my daughter to help as she does it for a living now!
- We should probably include this info in a new webpage on our website
- Should we get some fliers organised for distribution at PoL? I could possibly get this done, as long as I'm not stepping on any toes..

I don't know, we struggled to get people to the new year meet there but I thought I could post it up in case anyone was interested.

I'll be there with my 220. :D

It will be the first time the old girl has been back to Gaydon since she was first registered.
