Windows 10 - MS edge

Post by talkingcars »

I have just bought a brand new laptop pre-installed with windows 10 and the default browser is Microsoft edge, will this work the same as Microsoft internet explorer when I download the software?

Yes.

Do this:-
Install FTDI driver:-
1. Click on this link http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM ... tified.exe
2. At the bottom of Edge you will see
"CDM v2.12.06 WHQL Certified.exe finished downloading." with option "Run" & "View downloads"
Click "View downloads"
3. A new window appears (possibly hidden behind Edge), on the top right click "Open folder"
4. A new explorer window appears, right click on "CDM v2.12.06 WHQL Certified"
5. Select "Run as administrator"
6. Enter your admin password and accept the license agreement etc. Allow it to finish.
Install pscan.eu:-
7: Click on this link http://www.pscan.eu/download/win32/pscanloader.exe
8. At the bottom of Edge you will see
"pscanloader.exe finished downloading." with option "Run" & "View downloads"
Click "View downloads"
9. A new window appears (possibly hidden behind Edge), on the top right click "Open folder"
10. A new explorer window appears, right click on "pscanloader.exe"
11. Select Copy.
12. On the left click on This PC
13. Double click on Local disk C:
14. Right click somewhere on the white space in explorer where there is nothing
15. Select New then Folder
16. A new folder appears like a rectangle with New Folder already highlighted, rename it by deleting the "New folder" text and type in "pscan.eu" instead and press Enter.
17. Double click on pscan.eu
18. Right click somewhere on the white space in explorer where there is nothing
19. Select "paste"
20. Right click on pscanloader.exe
21. Select "Pin to start"
pscan should now appear on your start menu.

and today I got around to using it on my mk1 MGF VVC (MEMS 2), ZR160 (MEMS 3) and ZS180 (Siemens 2000) and everything worked fine, I even added a couple of fobs to the F.
