I'm still active on the forum & would love to attend a meet but I work nights including weekends, so unlikely to be able to.Gotta book hols for the whole financial year by April, so no flexibility once they're booked.

Go on then

Although the rover won't be ready

I do have a zr though which kinda counts, or a zafira..... Which could with 7 seats transport everyone who will actually attend this.

Including me

I'm inclined to think something small and cosy, so people can get to know each other better. There are a lot of misconceptions about other people and I think this is a chance to get off on the right foot. I am certainly keen to see if *insert username here* is such a eejit in real life...

...I'm kidding, but yeah :D

Certainly down the line track days and road trips are what we would like to see, but again I would like to see this meet as being an opportunity for people to introduce/reconnect in person, with the only distraction being maybe a wee trophy session for best turned out car or whatever. We cannot expect to be doing big events for every single attempt. Start small with solid foundations and then we can build on it.

My previous trips or events resulted in very little time for getting to know anyone and the focus was always on something else, either urgent or otherwise. At this stage the amount of replies to the thread shows there is more than enough to organise a small gathering. Commitment to attendance is going to be the biggest hurdle. I have to admit at the back of my mind I see myself flying into Brum and possibly being the only one who turned up. So it is important we make this a possibility for everyone to attend, financially being key for more than myself I expect.

We need this to happen over a day say, like a Sat. If we agreed to meet in the late AM and then onto some lunch, some show and tell and a wee award here and there, few handshakes and laughs/beers. Share a tale or two, be a community. Lets try and enjoy each others company first before we go bombing around Donny

Feel free to throw in possible locations and a date

Donnington park is fairly central

Bound to be a track day or event there that can be used to facilitate something
