If its just leaking a bit of oil I wouldnt change it until it got really bad, reckon mine leaks oil from HG down back of engine, been like that for ages, difficult to say wether its HG or rocker covers leaking

Its a T seris its meant to leak oil :) they all leak oil i'd be more worried if it didn't leak oil.

check your coolant, check your oil and check your oil filler cap for signs

Yep and wipe all the oil off just before it goes in for MOT's too! most older engines leak oil, only worth fixing if its a big leak

The only bit I can see being a bit awkward is getting cam timing right when it goes back on,just mark camwheels up on plastic cover b4 u take belt off, with crank at TDC

I reckon HG is a much easier job then clutch or anything where u have to crawl about under car! just a bit of background knowledge required and mark things up so it goes back same as it came off!

Done 3 HG's, tools=socket set, screwrivers, torque wrench, camlocking tool I found not necessary just mark the cams up, prob need new cambelt+headbolts as well, may get away with reusing exhaust manifold gasket, inlet manifold gasket doesnt need removing by looks of things
