Toying with reporting him, as he can obviously afford Lexus lights, wheels, powerflow and stick on interior logger, so he musn't be short of money to tax it
Just read through all this and I gotta say, Dave - you're handling this much better than I would be...
It's disgraceful that the Feds are unwilling to do anything about it - regardless of what happened to the cars, they were stolen. Nuff said.
I would be pursuing the Council for the value of the cars personally - they were improperly ticketed, leading to their unlawful removal and destruction!
Greg, indeed they were. I have spoken to a member of the councils highways department, and they tell me that the service area is not adopted as a public road.
Been speaking to the council, and am just getting a standard 'f--- off' reply from them.
To be fair, the feds can't do anything more than register them as stolen. I have no details of the pikey that left the notes under the windscreen wipers, and they went sometime in a two week period from a quiet carpark without a lot of toing and froing, as the locals are always too soused/high to notice/care
If you know who this Pikey is, you could try and ruin his earnings.
Bet this blokey hasn't got a scrappy's certificate, pretty sure there are some rules about not squishing motors unless they can produce a V5 to prove ownership too.
Threaten to grass the scrap merchant if they keep taking motors off him?
Could do what I'd do, go round and chiv his tyres or ping his windows every week, when your bored doing that torch his wagon or sugar the tank?
One of these shady Feckers lifted my old RS2000 years ago, had to be a wagon, had a flat tyre and no battery (I thought that'd stop them).
That was £600 up the swanny.

Ohh that was a long time ago, that's girders in China now...
So gutted for you!
That stinks, I'd be fuming!
Pikey's really make me mad, they do whatever the hell they want and nothing happens to them!
Arggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh If you ever get a whisper of who it was I'd be sooooooo tempted to blow up the truck/van/caravan!
Bstads!!!
you are taking it better than me.
Sorry to hear all this bad luck.

I wouldn't threaten - it's too late for threats, the cars have been crushed - I'd do it! The scrappy shouldn't be doing it, and even if it's too late to get your cars back, stop it from happening to somebody else.

And hope you get the right guy? And that he doesn't do what you'd do too and get counter revenge on you.

Had two Rover 220 Turbo Coupes: one (Tahiti blue) from 1999 until 2001, the other (charcoal) from 2002 until 2014.

Errm you missed a bit "If you know who this Pikey is"
'$hit or bust' or 'in for a penny, in for a pound' as we say down my way.
Anyway I suspect Dave can work it out for himself what he wants or is willing to do when/if he finds the fella.
