I used to post on there ages and ages ago- i did a tiny bit of graphics work for the guy who ran it back then- simon de banke. He was a top chap, i think at one point he may have held a record for holding a car sideways the longest!

Shame to hear the forum isnt what it used to be

They must be having a big debate about why they keep having their ars*s handed to them by tomcat turbo drivers :D

From these responses there's a pattern emerging and I can reinforce that from my own experience.

Did NOT used to be that way a couple of years back. Was always a good read then both technical and general forums with few "All Rovers are crap" Types. It has changed and I now rarely visit. Far to many 'my car's better than yourn' mentality and if you have a Rover or Mg ... Oh you poor thing.

Sadly, Subarus are a good enthusiast's car but few genuine car enthusiasts appear to get them over on Scoobynet now....

Hope its former appeal is able to return sometime.

Not that i want to get into the whole scooby vs rover debate but it does annoy me when i hear people putting down the rover even more so the subaru boys, i havent yet been passed by a wrx, infact ive handed many their ar*e on a plate!

Over hyped imo and coming down in price i might get one

When I first got my turbo coup back in october 2005 everyone said "you should get a scooby if you enjoy that", but you know what - no thanks. They're far too common these days and while I'm sure they're fun to drive (only ever been a passenger in one) they are just plain ugly too imo and dont have the same wow factor they had years ago. No-one bats an eyelid if if a subaru canes it past them but do it in a Rover...

Exactly although i dont mind the look of the scooby and im sure it would out handle a coupe no worries but i'm not one to throw my coupe into roundabouts at 190 so im happy with what i have.

Very true also that you see scooby everywhere these days, ive been to a few crooooooozes boom shank  recently where there mustve easily been 20 - 30 scoobies...........the only coupe there was mine :D
