8v swap to a 16v

hey guys just wanted to know if its possible to put a 16v head on a 8v motor its a 1.4 ona r reg (thats the 8v motor) head gasket has gone but av got a head thats been port poilshed 3waycut valves and skimmed sat in the garage doing nothing so just wanted to know if it possibleand wot would i need to do the job? thnks alot also ROVER KICK donkey boy LOVE EM!!! although i did sell my coupe and get a 206 gt SORRY!

if your 8v is single point injection then you'll need the loom, inlet manifold and ecu for the head as the 8v inlet manifold wont fit to the 16v head.

if the pistons dont have 16v cut outs, then there might be a problem aswell.

although perhaps later cars were all fitted with 16v pistons?

it would be eaiser to just swap engines.

Later cars were fitted with the pistons that had 16v cutouts although i'm not sure of the changeover date. Better idea though - buy a 1.8 bottom end and ecu....
